{"id":2006,"date":"2020-04-30T16:02:37","date_gmt":"2020-04-30T14:02:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microtest.net\/smart-waste\/"},"modified":"2020-04-30T16:02:37","modified_gmt":"2020-04-30T14:02:37","slug":"smart-waste","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microdev.filanda.it\/it\/smart-waste\/","title":{"rendered":"Smart Waste"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Smart Waste: the RFID technology employed to improve the collection and recording procedure for non-recyclable waste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Problem<\/strong>:<br \/>\nAscit is the company that manages the collection of urban waste in the Municipalities of Altopascio, Capannori, Porcari Montecarlo, Pescaglia and Villa Basilica (Lu &#8211; Italy). Ascit consulted Microtest to develop a technological solution to improve the management of unsorted door-to-door waste collection, without modifying the job procedure by the operator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution development<\/strong>:<br \/>\nMicrotest has developed the hardware and the software to read and manage the data from the RFID tag placed on the bags and on the dumpster; it also selected the RFID tag by carrying out specific tests that guaranteed its resistance to high\/low temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>This technological solution has proven its resistance and automated tracking capability.<\/p>\n<p>The system includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RFID tag<\/li>\n<li>Antenna (located on the vehicle)<\/li>\n<li>Control System<\/li>\n<li>Database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-661\" src=\"https:\/\/microtest-new.filanda.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Microtest_Ascit_grafico.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1170\" height=\"625\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microdev.filanda.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Microtest_Ascit_grafico.jpg 1170w, https:\/\/microdev.filanda.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Microtest_Ascit_grafico-300x160.jpg 300w, https:\/\/microdev.filanda.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Microtest_Ascit_grafico-1024x547.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/microdev.filanda.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Microtest_Ascit_grafico-768x410.jpg 768w, https:\/\/microdev.filanda.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Microtest_Ascit_grafico-60x32.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThis great result is possible with the turn-key Microtest application, oriented to the smart waste management using RFID traceability.<\/p>\n<p>The automatic reading of the microchip is essential to speed up the collection procedure performed by the operator. A manual reading of the identification number is not needed as the detection is automatic (hand-free), and no changes in collection operations are required.<\/p>\n<p>The reader detects the RFID tag identifying the user and records the information on a memory system that is processed later on.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this smart collection detection system, Ascit can keep the number of annual deliveries of non-recyclable waste made by each user under control, assigning the proper fee for the disposal service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Smart Waste: the RFID technology employed to improve the collection and recording procedure for non-recyclable waste.
